Heritage Gallery was founded by art critic and collector Kristina Krasnyanskaya. Starting out as a gallery specializing in art of the first wave Russian diaspora, it has since then expanded its scope and is presenting Russian art from the first half of the 20th century, as well as modern and contemporary art. Since 2011 the gallery has been developing new directions such as collectible design with an emphasis on Soviet design of 1920s-1980s.
Gallery develop Russian contemporary collectible design in partnership with curator Marina Vesna since 2019. Heritage gallery has presented more than 80 exhibitions, including events at museum venues in Russia and abroad. Gallery released the first fundamental research of the history of soviet design covering the period 1920-1980 titled «From Constructivism to Modernism» in partnership with Switzerland publishing house Sheidegger&Spiess on 2019.
